A real problem in bull fighting world (not so subjective like if it should be stopped or not) is the male chauvinism.

Spain had a few women bullfighters like Juanita Cruz, Conchita Cintrón, Maribel Atiénzar, and other, but they had much less recognition than men.

A clear example is CRISTINA SANCHEZ DE PABLOS, a brave bullfighter from Madrid. She started fighting in 1986, when she was 14 years old. After 13 years of great performances, she finally left the sport in 1999 due to the position of the bull fighting world in ignoring her. They simply left her out from the posters of the "corridas", although the great work she was doing. As she said "The limit has been I couldn't see myself announced in my fair (San Isidro, Madrid)".

If women are able to take a career so dangerous like that, they shouldn't be discriminated. If they want to dare their lifes it's their problem. Or maybe the problem from men's point of view it's THEY don't want to dare to be surpassed by women.

(note: I'm a man, I'm not feminist but I have to be fair).

Did you see Pedro Almodovar's movie about the woman bullfighter? "Talk to her" I think it was called. Some very powerful scenes in that film... the woman in that piece was besting all the men.

I don't think it's discrimination against women, per se. I think it's the overwhelming appreciation for the thinly veiled homoeroticism of the matador in those tight pants!

think any person (man or woman) that purposely provokes a fight a 1,200 pound beast is loco. The objective of the bullfight is, in fact, the opposite: to avoid a brutal confrontation by using the human attributes of intelligence, grace, and elegance. It's deffenetly about power and heroism. The bullfighters trophy is the respect and cheers from the crowd..honor. Not something that wer'e used to in the USA.

As known, all over the world the women is second to the man. I know things are changing slowly, but change takes time. Sometimes forever. They know, for every good man, there is a woman. We are just not always seen, but we're slowly coming out.

Dear friend: that is not completely exact. it is true the bul fight is mainly for men. But when women has benn inside that bussiness, do not make a soft way for the new one are tying to introducing in this complicated job. For example, Cristina Sánchez, due she was the most important women fighting during her carrer, she wants to be in the bullfights with men instead with other women who were starting. So, she did not help in nothing to treir female collegues.

If you are a bullfighter, u deserve to rot in hell ( amongst other things that cant be mentioned on the internet). Its sick assholes like you people that give human beings a ROTTEN name. And to the ass licker with the "stupid white girl" comment... WHITE AND PROUD MOTHER FUCKER!!!!!!

Here's an idea!!! Lets take all the bullfighters and repeatedly stab them over and over until they die a slow painful death!!!!!!! And then there families and children can be stabbed to death too so that they cant reproduce and make any more retards!!!!!!!

I Belive they should let the ladies have equal rites as the males. I fight american style and have always been a firm beliver in the spanish style art form.So if the ladies want to fight bulls let them get the same recognition as the men.
